Tom loved music and played the guitar frequently. He had numerous acoustic guitars and other instruments filling his house and would often play music with his friends. 

He also loved to sing and would often take songs and make them his own. 

Due to his love of music, he founded and grew a community project, The Melting Pot. He spent all of his time on this project with his friends and fellow community members, putting on performances at community centres and events all over the country, travelling far and wide.

The Melting Pot was designed as a place for music lovers in the local community to come together and do what they enjoyed. Specifically, people who would not otherwise have the opportunity or the confidence to perform in front of an audience for various reasons.

Tom was highly passionate about The Melting Pot, often travelling far and wide to bring awareness of the project to donors to try and raise funds to continue expanding the project.
